93-point cool climate Eden Valley Pinot Gris from a young gun Barossa winery.
Sourced from established cool-climate vineyards in Eden Valley, this wine is the latest expression of a family legacy that spans over 150 years in South Australian winemaking. The winery, with deep roots dating back to the 1860s, continues to evolve while staying true to their heritage, producing wines that capture the essence of the region. The careful attention to detail in both the vineyard and cellar has resulted in a wine that is pure, focused and elegant.
In a standout vintage, the cool climate conditions have allowed the fruit to ripen perfectly, producing a wine that balances vibrant, intense flavours with exceptional freshness and acidity. This release speaks to the heart of the region, offering a sophisticated yet approachable wine that will leave a lasting impression, whether enjoyed with a meal or on its own.
A vibrant wine with pristine fruit and a clean, refreshing finish.
Colour: Bright straw and golden hues.
Nose: Lush honeydew, rockmelon, gala apple, green pear and subtle spice aromas.
Palate: A refreshing palate; the wine retained clean, fresh acidity to round out an intense mouthfeel.
Food Pairing: Serve chilled and enjoy with chicken, seafood, veal, or spicy, aromatic dishes. Perfect for long lunches or balmy dinners, or enjoy it in volumes straight out of the esky! Drink now or enjoy until 2027.

"Pristine and brightly expressed, showing Gala apple, rockmelon, green pear and subtle spice aromas on the nose. The palate displays excellent focus and finely flowing mouthfeel, splendidly supported by vibrant acidity, finishing mouth-watering and persistent. At its best: now to 2029."

August 2024. "A fine example of a bright and fresh Pinot Gris which is showing early hints of possible emerging complexity. The colour here is an attractive lemon hue. A finely crafted example of the style, with pears, river stones and a hint of ginger. Good concentration and decent length, this has five to six years ahead of it. Well focused with fine balance and bright acidity, this is definitely worth looking at, for lovers of the grape."
