This story of place is mirrored in the vineyard, where the 2024 to 2025 growing season delivered average temperatures and high early spring rainfall, followed by above average rain in November that supported healthy canopy and berry development. A dry, mild stretch from December through harvest then brought the fruit to perfect balance, allowing bright varietal character to shine.

Pale ruby red in the glass, it opens with inviting aromas of red cherries, fresh berry notes, and a gentle lift of spiced oak. The palate is medium bodied and pure, showing vibrant cherry and raspberry flavours with a subtle savoury spice. Everything is well balanced, finishing smooth, fresh, and quietly persistent.

Winemaking focused on preserving fruit purity and softness. Harvest took place at 13.2 Baumé to prioritise flavour development, before the must was inoculated and fermented at a controlled 22°C. Hyperoxidation was used to soften tannins, with oak kept in a supporting role. After three months’ maturation in French oak, two parcels were blended to complete the final wine.

A versatile, food friendly Pinot Noir, it pairs beautifully with duck or salmon, and also shines slightly chilled on its own. Best enjoyed over the next three years while its bright fruit and silky balance are at their peak.

"Lots to like with this excellent value Pinot Noir. The colour is quite a shimmering crimson. Lovely aromatics, which open with cherries, followed by florals and raspberries. Sleek and supple in structure, there is good focus and a fine line of acidity. The wine is of medium length, finishing with silky tannins. Enjoy this over the next three to five years."
