The 2022 Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley is a refined and expressive wine, showcasing purity, precision, and elegance from premium hillside vineyards.

In the glass, it presents a bright green-gold hue, hinting at its vibrancy and depth. The wine opens with layered aromas of grilled white peach, pear, and subtle nougat, creating an inviting and sophisticated bouquet. On the palate, it delivers mouthwatering intensity, revealing a spectrum of summer stone fruits, cashew, and a delicate whisper of vanilla. The texture is balanced and harmonious, with a long, elegant finish that highlights both richness and freshness.

Crafted from four hand-picked parcels, the fruit was whole-bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeast in French oak (39% new). With eleven months on lees and no bâtonnage, the wine achieves purity and structure, allowing the fruit to shine with finesse before bottling in February 2023.

This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roasted white meats, seared scallops, or a creamy risotto, enhancing its layered texture and refined intensity.

Colour: Bright green-gold in colour

Nose: Delivering aromas of grilled white peach, nougat and pear.

Palate: The palate is bursting with mouthwatering intensity, an array of summer stonefruits, cashews and a whisper of vanilla. The finish is long, balanced and harmonious.

"Bright pale gold in colour with a youthful vibrant sheen.
The aroma is expressive and inviting, showing ripe melon, tropical fruit and lemon zest, layered with subtle oak, a hint of bacon fat and gentle savoury complexity.
The palate is delightful and beautifully composed, delivering melon and tropical notes alongside fresh lemon, grapefruit and a buttery richness. Oak is seamlessly intertwined, adding depth and texture while crisp acidity keeps the wine fresh and precise through the finish.
A rich yet refined Yarra Valley Chardonnay that balances generosity with freshness. Polished, complex and highly drinkable."

"Whole-bunch pressed and matured in French oak (39% new). A bright yellow gold with green tinges. A nicely worked wine, revealing stone fruits, some grapefruit pith and a little struck match. Even better on the medium-bodied, chalky textured, balanced and gently saline palate."

"A stylish rendition, the elegantly expressed bouquet shows grapefruit, crunchy apple, rockmelon, nougat, and roasted hazelnut aromas, leading to a finely focused palate that's linear and persistent. Wonderfully structured by beautifully infused acidity, finishing splendidly long and engaging. At its best: now to 2032."
