This G.S.M. is a vibrant expression of its region, showcasing bright crimson colour with a magenta hue. Fragrant dark cherry and musk plum fruit is lifted by floral nuances and warm spice, while subtle oak adds a creamy, supportive texture.

On the palate, juicy dark cherry flavours unfold with fine, powdery tannins and a gentle acidity, creating a balanced, textural wine with length and elegance. This approachable yet structured GSM is enjoyable now or can be cellared to develop further complexity.

Colour: Bright crimson with magenta hue

Nose: Fragrant dark cherry and musk plum fruit heightened by floral nuances and warm spice. Oak is subtle in the creamy malt spectrum allowing the fruit fragrance to shine.

Palate: A bright glossy core of juicy dark cherry fruit fills the palate with appetising length. Fine, powdery tannis build textural interest, complemented by a gentle acidity that knits the palate together with impeccable balance.

"Wonderfully ripe and fragrant, the wine shows dark berry, violet, mixed spice and roasted hazelnut aromas, followed by a splendidly weighted palate offering succulent fruit flavours with fleshy texture and fine-grained tannins. It's silky and generous with a lengthy velvety finish."

"The 2021 release was an absolute belter and winemaker Adam Clay has levelled up with this 2022 GSM. A fabulous drink, the savoury appeal really stood out on this occasion.

A 62/31/7 blend compared to the 56/39/5 of 2021, it's great to see vintage variation at play with the subtle adjustments to the blend. The winter of 2021 was one of the wettest on record for those who love some vintage data...

I tasted this not too long after bottling. It's so new it is yet to be released at the time of writing.

Its youth is evident but a little more bottle age will be of benefit. Blue fruits open the account with baking apices and some meatiness eager to introduce themselves. Layers of licorice, puffs of dirt road and a flicker of orange drive the savoury profile but the pretty aromas of purple flowers and spice cupboard keep my nose going back to the glass. Densely coloured and attractive to the eye, it speaks of the Moppa soils. A fabulous blend that will age comfortably over the medium term, lovers of a great GSM blend will find a happy home with this in their glass."

"Another superb GSM blend from the Gardens. This is vibrant crimson in colour. Plushness and balance with notes of red and dark berries, cold tea, mulberries, cherries, raspberries and more – delicious flavours. The Grenache might dominate at the moment, but it is ably supported by its companion grapes. There is also impressive length here, finishing with silky tannins. A flavour bomb for sure, but a terrific one. Love it. Drink now and for four to eight years."
